Taser delivers smart weapons to Australia, France, Poland and UK

Taser International has completed the delivery of next-generation smart weapons and conducted electrical weapons (CEW) to customers in Australia, France, Poland and UK during the third quarter of 2014.

The company has delivered 1000 Taser X26P Smart Weapons to Australia; 860 X26Ps to France; 500 Taser X26 conducted electrical weapon (CEW) to the UK and 350 Taser X2 Smart Weapons with 307 Taser Cam HD recorders to Poland.

Taser International COO Jeff Kukowski said: "Three of these orders represent agencies upgrading older weapons to our even safer smart weapons platforms as well as expanded deployments in key markets.

"These orders from Australia, France, Poland, and the UK continue to demonstrate that agencies are moving to reduce risk in dangerous encounters through the use of TASER technology."

The compact sized Taser X26P Smart Weapon weighs less than 0.63lb, and features self diagnostics, Taser Cam HD, audible warning (APPM), internet updatability, trilogy logs, flashlight, ambidextrous safety switch, improved CID, battery indication and sleep mode.

The two-shot Taser X2 is integrated with dual lasers that enhance accuracy and better power magazine to deliver up to 500 firings. Self diagnostics notifies users about the health of the system.

Integrated with the Taser X2 CEW and X26p CEW, the Taser CAM HD recorder offers a complete colour video version of Taser events, while securing officers from fake complaints.
