Implant Sciences delivers QS-H150 threat detection systems in China

Implant Sciences (IMSC) has delivered 43 QS-H150 explosives trace detection (ETD) systems to several clients in China including a police department and a mass transit authority.

Implant Sciences Global Sales and Marketing vice-president Darryl Jones said: "China has always been a strong market for Implant Sciences with police departments and mass transit authorities being some of the oldest and largest customers.

"These organisations have purchased hundreds of units over the past several years, and they continue to ask for the QS-H150 over the competition, including domestically produced systems.

"That level of product loyalty speaks volumes about the performance and reliability of our technology."

Integrating ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) technology, Implant Science’s QS-H150 can detect trace amounts of a range of military, commercial, and homemade explosives.

Manufactured without using any radioactive materials, the new EDS features a low-maintenance, self-calibrating, and self-clearing design and offers improved levels of operational availability.

According to the company, the QS-H150 has already been deployed in a wide variety of temperatures and challenging environments, from humid jungles to dry, sand swept deserts.
