Elbit Systems to supply C4I systems to a Latin American country

Elbit Systems has received an $80m contract to supply command, control, computer & communications (C4I) systems for an undisclosed Latin American country.

The contract has a base performance period of more than three years.

The project has been awarded as part of the army’s extensive modernisation programme and is designated for all echelons, ranging from the manoeuvring forces up to the command headquarters.

The new, unified communications network will play an crucial role during emergencies and natural hazards and disasters in addition to facilitating a real-time common operational picture.

This will provide the Latin American country’s Land Forces with enhanced operational performance and situational awareness.

Commenting on the contract, Elbit Systems Land and C4I Division general manager Yehuda (Udi) Vered said: "We are pleased with this award that further strengthens our position as a leading global supplier of C4I systems, which are already operational in dozens of countries worldwide.
