LRAD introduces LRAD 360Xm mass notification product

LRAD, the provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs), has introduced new highly intelligible compact product, known as LRAD 360Xm, for shorter distances and defined spaces.

Designed to meet the customer needs for a smaller version of the 360X in the mass notification and emergency warning system markets, the 360Xm safely delivers voice and emergency broadcasts with LRAD’s unsurpassed clarity and range with uniform 360° coverage.

LRAD Corporation president and CEO Tom Brown said the 360Xm complements and expands the company’s portfolio of mass notification and emergency warning system product line-up and offers a lightweight, compact form factor for both mobile and permanent notification solutions.

"The high degree of intelligibility, low power consumption and flexible installation options of the LRAD 360X and 360Xm gives us a competitive advantage as we pursue the large and growing worldwide mass notification market," Brown added.

The 360Xm can provide highly intelligible live voice or prerecorded communications over 2.2km² and features lightweight design to enable easy installation eliminating the need for heavy equipment for installation.

"We are also pleased to have received approximately $400,000 of follow-on orders from an existing international oil and gas customer to provide perimeter security for their offshore platforms and work boats off the coast of Africa," Brown continued.
