PlateSmart introduces latest version of PlateSmart Mobile LPR software

PlateSmart has introduced latest version of its Mobile Popular License Plate (LPR) recognition product software, an enhancement to a game-changing product already popular among law enforcement and security agencies.

The company will showcase the new software release at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference scheduled to be held from 19-23 October at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, US.

PlateSmart founder and CEO John Chigos said, "PlateSmart continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and we can’t wait to show the law enforcement community all of the newest, best, and most secure tools to fight crime and save lives."

The user-definable data retention policy feature of the latest version of PlateSmart Mobile LPR software enables users to determine how long LPR data is stored in the system, is a direct response to privacy concerns raised earlier this year by the ACLU.

Additional new features of the PlateSmart’s mobile LPR product include enhanced capabilities for information sharing among officers, a new, comprehensive license plate search capability, unified support interface for camera configuration through ONVIF.

The software will also provide improved support for large-scale agencies with independently managed hotlists and assigned resources for special task forces/units.
