CCSi to support upgrade of US DHS OCIO IT security and systems

The US Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) has awarded a contract to Creative Computing Solutions (CCSi) to help manage and modernise information security and technology systems.

Under the contract, CCSi will provide IT security and systems engineering services to the DHS OCIO’s Enterprise System Development Office (ESDO) to maintain the security baselines in compliance with the DHS Sensitive Systems Policy Directive 4300 A.

CCSi president and chief operating officer Dr. Naren Bewtra said, "As a trusted partner, CCSi ensures DHS will meet the needs of the citizens they serve, and mission critical operations and technical controls are secure during these variable times."

The federal solutions will also deliver compliance and performance monitoring, a security education and awareness campaign, risk management, security programme management assessments and security control design services to boost all ESDO systems security posture.

The contract will ensure integrity, availability and authenticity within the DHS IT infrastructure and operations.

Currently, CCSi provides similar IT security services to the DHS OCIO’s Information Technology Services Office (ITSO), a sister organisation to ESDO.

Awarded through the GSA purchasing schedule IT 70, the $6m task order has a one-year base period of performance and two option years, while work under the contract is scheduled to run through 15 January 2016.

The schedule IT 70 provides wide range of information technology and telecommunications hardware, software, and professional services for federal, state and local government agencies.
