Spain selects QS-H150 detector for critical infrastructure protection

Implant Sciences has sold its Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detection system to a new government customer in Spain for use in critical infrastructure protection.

The detection system is currently in service with Spain for the protection of critical infrastructure and seaports, as well as for force protection and aviation security.

Designed as a low-maintenance, self-calibrating, and self-clearing device, the QS-H150 is built with no radioactive materials and provides very high levels of operational availability.

Using Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) technology, the QS-H150 is capable of quickly and accurately detecting trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, and homemade explosives.

Capable of providing high levels of operational availability, the detection system indicates parts-per-trillion (ppt) levels of explosives vapour and nanogram quantities of explosives particulates for the users.

The QS-H150 has been designated as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act).
