ICFI to support national network of fusion centres for US DHS

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence and Analysis, State and Local Program Office (SLPO) has awarded a contract to ICF International (ICFI) to support national network of fusion centres.

Under the contract, ICFI will assist to sustain and enhance the integrated national network of state and major urban area fusion centres (National Network).

The contract has a potential value of $18.1m and a one year base period of performance including four option years.

The company will provide high-end policy analysis, planning, and programme management support for the DHS as it works along with other federal, state, and local government partners on information-sharing missions.

The company will strengthen ongoing DHS initiatives and enhance the National Network under the terms of the contract.

ICF International vice president John Paczkowski said, "ICF will leverage its extensive experience in working collaboratively with state and local public safety agencies on homeland security programs in a way that forges unity of effort and more effective and lasting resilience to address the threat of terrorism and other hazards facing the nation."

Managed and operated at the state or local level, Fusion centres enable sharing of intelligence information between federal-level agencies and state and local governments and organisations.
