Gazzang’s data security solutions receive US Army certification

The US Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) has approved Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) for Gazzang’szNcrypt and zTrustee data security solutions.

With the certification, the US Army can now deploy Gazzang encryption and key management solutions throughout its IT infrastructure.

Gazzang president and CEO Larry Warnock said that the company provides high-performance, software-defined data encryption and key management for the US armed forces while protecting information of critical importance to national security.

"The certification is a recognized and trusted benchmark and a great barometer for commercial organizations to use when evaluating their data security options," Warnock added.

The Certificate of Networthiness certification ensures that the software, tools or systems meet or exceed reliability, security, architecture and integrationrequirements for the US Army when deployed within the Army’s existing IT infrastructure.

The Gazzang zNcrypt is a high-performance AES-256 transparent data encryption solution developed to support big data platforms such as Hadoop, Cassandra, MongoDB, Couchbase and Riak while Gazzangz Trustee is a software-based, policy-driven key manager for encryption keys, certificates and tokens.
