Intellicheck deploys ID readers at secure US government facility

Intellicheck Mobilisa has deployed Intellicheck IM2620h Prox-PACS readers at the visitor control centre at one of the US’ most secure facilities as part of a contract.

Designed to read barcodes, magnetic stripes and proximity cards, as well as RFID tags embedded inside ID cards, the Intellicheck IM2620h Prox-PACS reader can also read military IDs, US Government Common Access Cards (CAC), US and Canadian drivers licenses.

Additionally, the reader can read facility-issued visitor badges from vendors of major visitor centres including Lenel and AMAG technology as well as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) TWIC cards.

The TWIC cards are used by US seaports workers and by other federal agencies as a secure, and inexpensive means to badge their vendors.
