Kratos receives follow-on critical infrastructure security contract

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions subsidiary Public Safety & Security (PSS) has been awarded a critical infrastructure security modification contract.

The $3m contract follows previously announced award for deployment of specialised security system for global energy customer.

Under the follow-on contract, Kratos will design, engineer, deploy and integrate into a command and control infrastructure a unique security system.

The recent third phase modification contract is part of a five-phase project with first stage work already completed by Kratos and the second currently underway.

In addition to specialised video surveillance technology, the company will deploy other security related elements as a part of the third phase project.

The first phase of the project involved upgrade and expansion of an existing access control system deployed across higher education campus facility locations for a certain educational institution and the securing of approximately 700 related critical entry points.

The security system, integrated into a command and control infrastructure and centralised communication network, will safeguard institution’s critical infrastructure security and safety posture and also serves as a key tool for security personnel first responders.
