Kratos’ SecureInfo RMS to protect information assets

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions’ SecureInfo cybersecurity group has been selected by an undisclosed public power provider to assist in protecting the utility’s information assets and mitigate cyber threats.

Kratos will provide SecureInfo risk management software (RMS) product and related services to the efforts of streamlining information security risk management.

Following rigorous review of information security risk management software products, SecureInfo RMS has been selected due to its ability to integrate easily with existing security processes as well as its ability to help meet information security and compliance objectives.

A detailed feature by feature comparison involved in the review including live demonstrations that simulated the utility’s information technology environment.

Kratos’ SecureInfo senior vice president Christopher Fountain said, "SecureInfo continues to broaden its reach into the utility sector by helping enterprises meet their security and compliance objectives."

As part of the purchase, SecureInfo will install, configure, support and provide training and subject matter expertise for the SecureInfo RMS product across the energy provider’s enterprise.

Designed to simplify and streamline all aspects of the information security risk management framework (RMF), SecureInfo RMS will enable the utility to reduce costs and create a standardized RMF programme.

In order to maintain a robust security posture, SecureInfo RMS will also enable ready access to consistent, quality information security artifacts critical.
