US DHS awards EAGLE II Enterprise-Wide IT contract to Baker–Sabre JV

The US Department of Homeland Security has awarded a contract to Baker-Sabre joint venture (JV) to support the agency’s Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II (EAGLE II) contract.

Under the seven-year IDIQ contract, which has five base years and a two-year option, the JV will be responsible for delivering a full range of services and products on the Unrestricted Track of Functional Category 1 (FC1), which support the DHS’ mission and daily business functions.

The Baker-Sabre JV’s products and services offered under the EAGLE II contract vehicle support the agency’s mission and business functions.

Baker president and chief executive officer Kurt Bergman said securing national interests at home or abroad is a key tenant of Baker International, and this contract allows the company to demonstrate the broad range of capabilities offered to DHS.

"Since the formation of DHS, we have been privileged to support the agency’s mission-critical programs and we look forward to continuing our strong commitment," Bergman added.

The contract also involves delivering a wide range of solutions and services for the diverse DHS components including system design, development, implementation and integration; software design and development; and operations and maintenance solutions, processes and procedures.

Sabre Systems Cyber Solutions division vice president Fred Kuster said that the latest contract allows the company to support DHS in its mission of safeguarding the homeland through secure and innovative technology solutions.

"Sabre Systems, Inc. has provided IT solutions to the federal government for 25 years," Kuster added.

The EAGLE II is the DHS’ next generation programme serving as a vehicle to acquire IT technology support services within various operational areas including service delivery, programme support services, and independent test, validation, verification and evaluation.
