View Systems to integrate Animetrics facial recognition technology into security systems

View Systems has teamed up with Animetrics to integrate next-generation 3D facial recognition technology into its security and surveillance systems solutions used for security screening purposes.

Under the partnership agreement, Animetrics’ 3D facial recognition technology will be initially integrated within View System’s ViewScan concealed weapons detection system (CWD).

Integration of the facial recognition technology into the weapon detection systems will provide security personnel with enhanced intelligent screening capabilities such as non intrusive facial biometrics screening, analysis and identity verification, in addition to remaining alert to potential threats in real time.

View Systems CEO Gunther Than said partnership with Animetrics will assist the company to deliver a robust security screening system that utilises superior 3D facial recognition technology.

"By using the advanced 3D facial recognition features of Animetrics technology, and through immediate integration with existing security databases, the new systems provide a whole new level of security for both public arenas and high-level secure installations," Than added.

"And the systems remain affordable, an important consideration as public venues of all kinds enhance their own security."

Capable of pinpointing objects such as hidden razor blades and cellular phones, the CWD is a walk-through portal that locates threat objects on its visual image using advanced magnetics technology.

Currently, the portals are in use at schools, arenas and stadiums, government agencies and courthouses facilities across the US.

The company has also plans to integrate Animetrics’ FaceR Identity Management System (FIMS cloud) and FaceR facial biometric identity and screening applications Mobile ID, Credential Me and ForensicaGPS into its complete suite of security and surveillance systems and applications.
