YPB to provide security equipment to Chinese Government

Anti-counterfeiting products manufacturer YPB has been awarded a contract to deliver tracer products and scanners for deployment by the Chinese Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Prior to the installation, the Chinese government agency, which oversees the nation’s police force and border security operations, will trial the company’s invisible tracer products and scanners.

YPB CEO John Houston was quoted by the Australian as saying: "The contract for the PRC’s (People’s Republic of China’s) Ministry of Public Security forms part of the first stage in this process, and we continue to be excited by the level of interest in our unique anti-counterfeit technology and its potential applications."

YPB’s scanners are integrated high performance power management system that assures a USB port rechargeable battery life of about 4,000 scans or two months in standby mode.

The company’s ‘talking scanner’ enables manufacturers to customise with their own audio message for verifying the product.
YPB’s invisible tracers are hidden and indestructible particles that are integrated into a product during or following the production process.

They can be detected only by the company’s proprietary scanners.

The latest contract comes within weeks after YPB made its entry into the Australian Stock Exchange. The company targets potential clients in Asia, mainly China.
