General Dynamics introduces Fidelis XPS Vector for malware detection

General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions has introduced Fidelis XPS Vector, a new malware-detection product designed to protect against targeted inbound threats and associated command and control traffic.

The new cyber-security product will instantly alert security personnel following detection of malicious content and block sessions containing malware.

General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions product management vice president Tom Lyons said that the Fidelis XPS Vector will help customers target inbound malware.

Capable of analysing hundreds of inbound objects per second, Fidelis XPS Vector enables enterprise customers to detect and block malware used to penetrate networks with greater visibility and faster speed.

"In this cost-effective product, Fidelis XPS Vector provides customers the unique ability to look at all network traffic, applications and content entering or exiting their networks, including web, e-mail, messaging and even previously unknown, customized traffic," Lyons added.

The product will provide detailed analysis report of the malicious content to personnel that include malware source information, the decoding path, protocol details, encoding and compressions and execution forensic details.

Fidelis XPS Vector will also allow security practitioners to quickly, more efficiently and cost-effectively discover, investigate and remediate advanced threats with visibility and control over the threat’s entire life cycle.
