iBeta receives biometric product testing contract

Sandia National Laboratories, managed by Lockheed Martin subsidiary Sandia Corporation, has awarded quality assurance mobile biometric product testing contract to iBeta Quality Assurance (iBeta).

Under the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS); Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency, Human Factors/Behavioral Sciences Division funded contract, iBeta team will test mobile biometric products using existing NIST standards for each of the biometric modalities.

The company will work alongside the DHS Science and Technology Directorate, specifically the Homeland Security Advanced Research Project Agency for testing.

The contract aims to develop a government-accepted process to procure mobile biometric devices that obtain accurate and timely identifications in the field, for government agency.

iBeta’s quality manager Gail Audette said, "The scope of impact of this project will benefit Federal, State and local first Responders and iBeta is excited to be involved in meeting those mission objectives."

Sandia has been providing essential science and technology to meet the nation requirements in challenging security issues.

As a contractor for the US Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Sandia supports numerous federal, state, and local government agencies, companies, and organisations.

iBeta provides different software quality activities including quality assurance, functionality testing, performance testing, compatibility testing, code reviews, IV & V, and test plan engineering.
