Implant Sciences delivers QS-H150 detectors to a customer in Africa

Implant Sciences has received a contract from a new undisclosed customer in Africa to deliver Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detectors.

Under the contract, the company has already delivered seven QS-H150 handheld explosives detectors to the customer for security screening at court buildings and facilities.

Implant Sciences Sales and Marketing vice president Darryl Jones said, "With its low maintenance, easy-to-use design, the QS-H150 provides explosives trace detection for the real world."

Using Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) technology, the QS-H150 is capable of quickly and accurately detecting trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, and homemade explosives.

Capable of providing high levels of operational availability, the Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 indicates parts-per-trillion (ppt) levels of explosives vapour and nanogram quantities of explosives particulates for the users.

The QS-H150 has been designated as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act).

Featuring a low-maintenance, self-calibrating, and self-clearing design with no radioactive materials, the QS-H150 has already validated its capability in a wide variety of temperatures and challenging environments, from humid jungles to dry, sand swept deserts.

The company develops, manufactures and sells sophisticated sensors and systems for security, safety, and defence (SS&D) markets.
