Implant Sciences to showcase detectors at Transport Security Expo 2012

Implant Sciences will showcase its Quantum Sniffer trace detection technologies at the upcoming 2012 Transport Security Expo scheduled to be held on 14 and 15 November 2012 in London, England.

The company will display its handheld QS-H150 explosives trace detector and the QS-B220 desktop explosives and drugs trace detectors.

Capable of providing high levels of operational availability, the QS-H150 indicates parts-per-trillion (ppt) levels of explosives vapour and nanogram quantities of explosives particulates for the users.

The QS-B220 desktop explosives and drugs trace detector features radioactive material-free design, push-button maintenance and diagnostics, and internal automatic self-calibration.

Both detectors can trace and detect range of military, commercial, and homemade explosives, as well as drugs using ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) technology.

Featuring low-maintenance, self-calibrating, and self-clearing design, the QS-H150 can operate in wide variety of temperatures and challenging environments including humid jungles to dry, sand swept deserts.

The QS-H150 has been designated as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act).
