Kratos wins BPA from US National Security customer

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions subsidiary Kratos Modular Systems (MS) Division has been awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) from a US National Security customer to develop and deliver specialised products to support the warfighter.

Under the $10m BPA, Kratos will deliver specialised products based on task orders, which will be developed at a secure Kratos manufacturing facility.

Kratos MS Division president Tom Mills said, "Our entire organization is pleased to have received this Blanket Purchase Agreement and to be working with this important customer in the support of our Warfighters in the successful execution of their mission."

Separately, the US Army has awarded a contract to Kratos Defense & Security Solutions to provide unmanned aerial drone command and control systems.

Under the $4m contract, Kratos will produce portable and transportable configurations of the US Army’s unmanned target drone command and control stations and associated test equipment.

Micro Systems senior vice president Kevin Ferguson said that the company has received delivery order from the US Army’s Targets Management Office (TMO) for unmanned target command and control systems.

"We believe that our business is very well positioned to meet or exceed our customers’ requirements for high performance unmanned aerial drone command and control electronics and support services," Ferguson added.
