LRAD introduces LRAD 360 mobile mass notification system

LRAD has unveiled LRAD 360, a new mobile mass notification platform designed for highly intelligible voice communications for emergency warning and mass notification.

The mobile mass notification system is an integrated, self-contained, ruggedized trailer designed to provide emergency warnings and communications for a number of applications including natural disasters, such as tornados, hurricanes and flooding, and for public announcements at large outdoor events.

The system provides highly intelligible voice communications for emergency warning and mass notification with area coverage up to 5.3km.

LRAD president and CEO Tom Brown said that the engineering team designed the mobile communication system that can be easily deployed where it is needed.

"Having the ability to deploy mass notification instructions and communications in these times of uncertainty is a valuable tool for municipal, state and federal agencies to help ensure the safety of the public," Brown added.

"Our mobile system enables authorities and emergency responders to communicate real-time, highly intelligible messages and instructions which can lead to safer, more orderly public reaction to these natural disasters."

Additionally, the mass notification system can broadcast real-time information, multi-language instructions and warnings in a 360° radius over distances up to 1,300m.
