Raytheon updates SureView cyber monitoring tool

Raytheon has upgraded its SureView cyber monitoring software that enables commercial and federal agencies to concurrently secure their networks from insider threats, while managing data privacy.

The latest additions to the software include new policy support features that enhance product capability for continuous monitoring and network auditing against insider threat and privileged user abuse.

Newly added features also include SureView Spotlight; host-based network traffic monitoring and collection; new collection capability; simplified policy creation; and enterprise application suite enhancements.

Agencies will now be able to access a Privileged User Monitoring and Auditing (PUMA) Policy Pack particularly aimed at enabling SureView to detect malicious acts and policy breaches by privileged users that often go unnoticed.

Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services Raytheon Cyber Products managing director Ed Hammersla said SureView has assisted customers to detect and stop malicious activity inside their networks.

"The latest enhancements to SureView are the result of customer inputs and lessons learned from long-term deployment," Hammersla said.

"In fact, the PUMA Policy Pack was developed to meet requirements specifically articulated by our customers to mitigate the privileged user threat."
