SAIC to provide C4 engineering support for US Army ISEC

The US Army Information Systems Engineering Command (ISEC) has awarded a contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to provide command, control, communications and computer (C4) engineering support.

Under the cost-plus fixed-fee (CPFF) contract, the company will provide engineering support including site surveys, systems engineering, technology support, telecommunications engineering, testing for operational acceptance and installation support.

SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager Tom Watson said, "We look forward to leveraging our proven C4 systems engineering experience to support ISEC in this strategically critical region."

The company has received the task order under the Total Engineering and Integration Services (TEIS) III contract vehicle.

Work will be carried out at the company’s facility facilities in Arizona and California, US, as well as at government project sites in Korea and Okinawa, Japan.

The contract has a one-year base period of performance with three one-year options and will value approximately $13m, if all options are exercised.

ISEC provides systems engineering, installation, integration implementation and evaluation support for communications and information technology systems worldwide.

Additionally, the US Army ISEC provides capabilities to Army organisations, combatant commanders, Department of Defense and Federal agencies in support of the warfighter.

SAIC provides services to the US Department of Defense, the intelligence community, the US Department of Homeland Security, other US government civil agencies as well as selected commercial markets.
