SAIC to provide information technology support to US Army

Science Applications International (SAIC) has been awarded a task order to provide full lifecycle human resources and information technology (IT) support for the US Army Human Resources Command.

Under the contract, SAIC will provide full lifecycle IT support, including maintenance, enhancement and development support for systems, programmes, applications, and databases vital to managing the Army’s personnel, in peacetime and at war.

The single award task order has a one-year base period of performance, two one-year options and is valued approximately $221m, if all options are exercised.

The company will also provide a full spectrum of human resources through development, sustainment, and integration of systems, services, and applications that support the war fighter and all Army personnel, which include Army Human Resources Command; Army Recruiting Command; Army Cadet Command and Army Reserve and National Guard soldiers, veterans and families.

SAIC Army and Air Force Customer Group senior vice president and general manager John Gully said, "We are pleased to continue and expand our current support to this critical program as they meet the challenges of transformation and soldier service."

Work under the contract will be carried out in Fort Knox, Kentucky, US.
