Suspect Detection submits proposal for security contract in Southeast Asia

Suspect Detection Systems has submitted its proposal for a seven-digit security contract in Southeast Asia, which is the sole tender presented at the request of the federal agency.

Suspect Detection Systems CEO Gil Boosidan said, "The request by the federal agency for Suspect Detection Systems to submit this tender demonstrates the value of our security solutions to existing customers and particularly to federal law enforcement and border control agencies."

"The seven-digit revenues stipulated in the requested tender are expected to yield significant income to Suspect Detection Systems over the next several years," Boosidan added.

The company’s Cogito products have been designed to identify and interrogate potential suspects seeking entry into the country with most dangerous weapon or intentions to commit a destructive act.

Cogito units gather biometric information and communicates with a proprietary Central Database and Management System (CDMS) to process and analyse the data in real-time.

"Our comprehensive system accurately identifies suspects in real-time, contributing to safer, less porous national borders and airports."

The automated interrogation system can be emloyed by federal agencies or private security firms to detect terrorists, smugglers and criminals at airports and border crossings in five to seven minutes.

The company had earlier received two separate tenders and the recent multi-year tender is scheduled to begin before the end of 2012.
